About Program
A Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) is a professional certification that authorises you to fly aircraft as Pilot-in-Command for paid aviation services. It opens career opportunities with airlines, charter operators, cargo carriers, and other commercial aviation organisations. The CPL training programme combines detailed theoretical instruction with extensive hands-on flight training to prepare candidates for real-world flying responsibilities.
What the CPL Training Programme Includes
Ground School Training
The course includes approximately 500 hours of classroom-based theoretical instruction. Subjects typically cover aerodynamics, air navigation, meteorology, air regulations, technical knowledge, and flight planning.
Flight Training
Students complete over 200 hours of practical flying experience. This stage focuses on aircraft handling, operational procedures, emergency response, and professional cockpit discipline.
Instrument Rating (IR)
Instrument training prepares pilots to operate aircraft in low-visibility and instrument flight conditions. It includes simulator sessions as well as flight time under simulated and actual instrument meteorological conditions.
Cross-Country Navigation Training
This module develops real navigation skills, including route planning, flight log preparation, navigation techniques, fuel planning, and multi-airport flight operations.
Flight Operations & Crew Management
Training also covers operational decision-making, flight management practices, and Crew Resource Management (CRM) to ensure effective coordination and safety in multi-crew environments.
Aviation Regulations & Safety Procedures
Students study aviation laws, regulatory frameworks, operational rules, and global safety standards to ensure full compliance with aviation authorities and international requirements.
Multi-Engine Aircraft Training
The programme includes around 15 hours of multi-engine flight training, focusing on aircraft systems, handling characteristics, and engine-out procedures.
English Language Proficiency
Strong English communication skills are essential for aviation safety. Training supports ICAO English language standards to ensure effective pilot-controller communication worldwide.
